I am a Human Givens Psychotherapist and hold the Human Givens Post-graduate diploma from Nottingham-Trent University and the Human Givens College. I was awarded the Human Givens Diploma with distinction (HG Dip.), and am a registered member of the Human Givens Institute and the European Therapy Studies Institute (ETSI).
I sincerely believe that the Human Givens approach is a major breakthrough in helping people achieve a more balanced and fully functioning life. As human beings we come into the world with an ‘innate internal guidance’ system – the needs and inner resources which can help us to get our needs met. However, an inability to get these needs met, along with the misuse of our resources can create an unhealthy environment, by allowing areas of emotional pain to flourish. To combat this, the Human Givens approach brings clarity and focus relative to what human beings really need to achieve an optimally functioning life.
The human givens approach is supported by Primary Care Mental Health Education (Primhe), affiliated with the Royal College of General Practitioners, and as a member of our accrediting professional body, the Human Givens Institute (HGI), I abide by their professional conduct and ethics policies.
I have been a practising healer and therapist for the last 19 years, and am a full member of the Healing Trust and UK healers. I hold Reiki I & II, and also practise Energy (Spiritual) Healing, and Eraden crystal healing.
I qualified in Stress Management with Nita Yeoman, (Kent), in 2000, and am also a member of the Association of Stress Therapists, who have associate membership to the BCMA (British Complementary Medical Association).
I am qualified in Counselling, (AEB Combined Certificate in Counselling Skills & Theory), Transformative Art and Music Therapy, and Indian Head Massage. I am also up-to-date and comprehensively insured.
